How did a Hershey Kiss get it's name?

How great is this I learned this today on the radio!

First off  it was way back in 1907 when the Hershey Kiss was introduced it is rumored that when the machine-made the “dab of chocolate” it made a “Kiss” sound… hence the name being Hershey Kiss!

My favorite Hershey Kisses are Dark Chocolate Hershey Kisses, Hershey Kisses with Almonds, I even had a special Hershey Kiss with Macadamia Nuts. Of course, there are so many more to choose from… Carmel filled, Cream filled, Cordial…..

Kiss can be used for so many things ~ Cookies, Brownies, and enjoying with the right glass of wine! Yum… Open up a bottle of Tanglerose and give me just a couple of Dark Chocolate Hershey Kisses!

Who said you could not have Wine at your Super Bowl Party…

There are so many great food pairings to have with your Super Bowl Spread.

What are you serving? BBQ Wings,  Hot Wings, Chili, Chili Dip, Meat & Cheese Platter (hard salami, sausage, etc…), Antipasti, Pizza Pizza Pizza, Dark Chocolate with Almonds, Chocolate Mint, Cheeseburgers….

Can you say Zinfindel? (zin-fin-del)  Zinfindel notice I did not say White Zinfindel (Leave that on the shelf)! This is all about the Red Robust flavors you can find in a Red Zinfindel it will enhance the flavors on your Super Bowl Buffet!  Give this great wine a try!

Happy Super Bowl –  Go Steelers!

Dolcetto~One of my Favorite Grapes~

Dolcetto actually means “Little Sweet One” it is widely grown in the Piedmont region of Italy! Yummy! This wine is a big huge “subtle” hit! It is a great starter red wine; and if you are already a red drinker you will appreciate the quality crafted Dolcetto featured in my Traveling Vineyard Newsletter  ~ This is one of the best Dolcetto’s I have had! (Who am I kidding if I was not an Independent Consultant for The  Traveling Vineyard  – I would have not probably found this Gem)

Perfect pairings for me are:

Dr Pepper Ham (need the recipe let me know), Dark Chocolate, Pizza, Hamburgers – Should I go on? Get curious and give “The Little Sweet One” a try… PS this is normally a wine you would find as a house wine in Italy!
